I’ve teamed up with the NGO Pass the Crayon in 2019 and since then we’ve been creating a lot of workshops together!
We even had a very exciting collaboration with the United Nations Migration Agency (IOM) Berlin office in December! A number of events took place, finishing with an exhibition at their office. ✨
Over the span of a couple of weeks, we created a giant mural together with the kids from Pankow for the IOM office in Berlin! We asked the kids to paint their dreams and ideas about the future and combined these paintings in the mural 💭
We did a workshop with 50 kids at the École Voltaire ( French-German school in Berlin). We invited to the kids to create their own ‘drawbots’ 🤖 – robots that draw on paper by themselves. The robots drew patterns on an Earth map – representing the path that migrants cross since the beginning of the world to travel and establish themselves in other parts of the world.
And last but not least: on the 18th of December 2019, we revealed the mural at the IOM office and had an exhibition with works created during our workshops! We used augmented reality for the mural so the visitors could immerse themselves in the stories of the kids and to give the painting faces. 👀
We had a blast and I’m very happy with the results of this awesome collab! 💪
