I spent two weeks in Mbomo, on the Republic of Congo, as a teacher for Tales of Us, in partnership with Sabine Plattner African Charities. My mission was to teach kids about conservation, through Character Design and Storytelling.

I worked with mud from the river to make face painting, and also materials we gathered from the forest like leaves, flowers and fruits. We built costumes and kids worked on a story called “the crocodile and the little fish”. On my last day, they reenacted a play for all the other kids in the village.

This is the second time I work with the kids from Mbomo. You can see results of my previous workshop at their website. If you want to know more about the project, follow Tales of Us on Facebook.

I’m also working on a diary I did while living there. It’ll be my next 360 film. For now, have a look at how amazing and creative these kids are with the video below! : )
